Zinda Ho…?

Shubham Kamble

Shubham S. Kamble

What does it mean to be alive? It means having life, not being dead or inanimate. I believe it is not enough to live. There are numerous factors that have an impact on life and determine the living path. The basic needs that are required for a good livelihood are food, clothing, shelter, health, and education, which is the most important.

We are becoming more educated and organised, but when the term ‘agitate’ is mentioned, most people think, “That’s not our job. Who has the time for that? I am well settled, so who cares!!” Yes, you are correct. it is not your job, but it is your duty. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar fought hard for our rights, freedom, bettering our livelihoods, and elevating us to the level of humanity. Babasaheb did an infinite favour to all Indians. We cannot dismiss Babasaheb’s struggle. We owe Ambedkar gratitude because “we are because he was.”

We don’t even attempt to improve our community. We must collaborate with our backward families to improve their livelihoods and bring them up to speed with education. It is our first duty, and we must do it for all of us, not just for them. Many people are enslaved by addictions such as alcohol and drugs, which have an impact on their family, children, and their behaviour. It is not the end of the chapter. Our youth is the most valuable resource we have, but where is it? We must ensure that they are able to do everything they desire in order to improve their lives. All of the young people require the proper direction, opportunities, and path. You would be able to witness the youth’s true power if we made it simple for them to accomplish this. They are capable of doing anything to accomplish a goal. Every day, we witness some cases of rape, murder, and injustice involving Dalit families. We observe it, read about it, and do nothing. We never even consider what they are going through because it hasn’t happened to us. Without considering caste or religion, we must always be on the side of justice.

What is happening in India today? Is everything okay or is there a problem? We don’t think about that at all. We are following the flow without knowing where it will lead. We appear to be acting like puppets. The puppets who operate mindlessly and without concern for the disastrous results. We exchange our votes for cash to temporarily unwind. Selling a vote is similar to selling oneself. One good vote for the right candidate can contribute to India’s improvement.

The citizens of this nation lack the ability to vote, yet they act as though everything is fine without giving the situation any thought or understanding. Are we really alive?
