G. Aloysius has worked as professor for Ford Foundation Endowed Chair in Dalit Studies, at the Academy of Third World Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia. His published works include: “Nationalism without a Nation in India”, “Religion as Emancipatory Identity”, etc., He has also published several articles on Nationalism, Religion and Caste, all from a Dalit-subaltern perspective. Earlier he has had several years of field experience among the tribals of Jharkhand. Professor Aloysius is currently associated with the Dept of Social Exclusion Studies, EFL University.
